Healing and recovery is a process. It takes time. It takes patience. It takes everything you’ve got.
I offer two types of trauma processing therapies.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) :
CPT is a cognitive-behavioral treatment for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). It is a 12-session psychotherapy for PTSD. CPT teaches you how to evaluate and change the upsetting thoughts you have had since your trauma. By changing your thoughts, you can change how you feel.
I also offer CPT-Sexual Assault; formatted for those who have experienced sexual assault related trauma.
Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT):
Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment model designed to assist children, adolescents, and their families in overcoming the negative effects of a traumatic experience. This treatment is short-term and generally lasts no more than 16 sessions.
